Have you ever tried pizza toppings other than the traditional ones? The ones you couldn’t get your hands on even on National Pizza Day, which was on 9th February? Well, we have listed some of the best toppings that you need to try at least once in your life. Let’s take a look.

Banana

Yes, you read it right. You can use bananas as pizza toppings. This ingredient might seem bizarre to you, but Swedish people adore pizza with bananas. However, you can consume it as the American version of Hawaiin pizza with a bit more flavor.

Consider your banana pizza as Hawaiian pizza, which has a rare ingredient, a yellow fruit – banana. So, instead of topping with some ham, marinara, pineapple pieces, and mozzarella cheese, pop up the taste with the banana pieces. A banana will also caramelize when you finally bake it. In the end, you will get a delicious golden treat.

Eggs

Don’t know why, but eggs are among the most uncommon toppings. But they should not be because they are incredibly mouthwatering ingredients that have the power to turn any food into a delicious treat. Making a pizza with eggs will give you a great breakfast. And yes, it’s up to you. Do you love it fried, slightly cooked, or sunny side up?

Think about it, how rich and earthy do you think the flavor will taste when you take a bite of pizza with eggs topped with cheese? If people can place fried eggs in their burgers, why can’t you put eggs on pizzas? The best part is you can give it the look of a veggie pizza by adding some peppers or mushrooms.

Spinach, Feta, and Octopus

Spinach, feta, and octopus, all in one pizza – excellence achieved! This type of pizza is more appealing to seafood lovers. Think of it as though you are making a fish pizza. Octopus will give you the exact rich taste you get from fish.

By adding spinach and feta to your pizza, you can spice up the flavors. You can say it’s a combo of veggie and fish pizzas. Oh yes, don’t forget to add some cheese to it.

Mayonnaise, Corn, and Potato

Okay, this is not something that you can achieve. It’s just that you have not tried it yet. Mayonnaise, corn, and potatoes are ingredients that people usually add to different types of pizzas. The only difference is that you will use all three toppings on the same pie.

The French-in-origin mayonnaise already has a great fan following around the world. But people haven’t tried it in a pizza. Now you know that it will taste amazing. You can make a pizza with mayonnaise, corn, and potato.

Shrimp & Crab

Are you serious? Yes, we are. Shrimp and crab are some of the most loved seafood around the globe. People commonly use them in different types of dishes. Despite the popularity, shrimp and crab never quite make their way to a pizza.

However, both of these toppings complement each other when you bake a pizza with them. If you have not tried it yet, you surely have to give it a shot to bring a little change to the traditional pizza taste.

Bottom Line

Besides the pizza toppings stated above, you can also try tuna, blueberries, coconut, and spinach. Make sure to bake a small pie first to try the new flavors.
