Nintendo Direct News
Nintendo Direct News

Nintendo just announced their first Nintendo Direct for the year. This is the first direct in a very long time, that’s right, it’s been over a year since their last one. In a tweet, Nintendo announced the live stream for Wednesday, Feb 17 at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT/10 p.m. GMT).

Nintendo says we will be seeing news about Super Smash Bros: Ultimate and new games for the first half of 2021. The direct is expected to be 50 minutes long, so we are in for a treat. With the Smash Bros news, I can only hope they announce a new character to join the fighting game’s massive roster. It will be tough to surpass the hype brought with their last character announcement, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7, first revealed at the video game awards back on Dec 10. My hopes are that we will finally get some info on Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 and some new details of the New Pokémon Snap coming out in April. Any news on Breath Of the Wild 2 would be legendary, no pun intended. Zelda Fans have been devoid of any new information since the first teaser trailer dropped way back in Nintendo E3 of 2019. You can check out the Nintendo Direct Livestream tomorrow right here below.

Other options include their very own website or checking them out on Nintendo’s Twitch. Cross your fingers for some very excellent news.
